Bhakti Hanuman bronze statue. Lord Hanuman is the Hindu God who will grant purity of mind and success to devotees, and is considered to be a reflection of Shiva. Hanuman is a fervent devotee of Lord Rama. So in the tale of the epic Ramayana, it was Hanuman who brought about the downfall of the rakshasa demon Ravana and helped Sita to return to Rama. As a messenger to warn the demon, Hanuman allowed himself to be captured and Ravana ordered that Hanuman's tail be lit. As Ravana's forces attempted to wrap cloth around his tail, Hanuman began to lengthen it. After frustrating them for a while, he allows it, then escapes from his captors, and with his tail on fire he burns down large parts of Lanka. During the siege, Rama's brother Lakshmana was severely wounded and Hanuman was sent to fetch the powerful life-restoring herb from Meru mountain, in central Himalayas to revive him. Unable to find the specific herb, Hanuman again displayed his might by lifting the entire mountain and bringing it to the battlefield in Sri Lanka, thus helping others find the herb to revive Lakshmana....... fine detail in antiqued bronze, displaying Lord Hanuman in devotional posture.....
